From 21 to 25 September 2026, Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz will host the on-site component of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme entitled “Family-Centred Early Intervention Across Europe: Models, Practices, Innovations and 3D Therapeutic Tools”. The programme will bring together students and academic staff from Kazimierz Wielki University, the University of Padova and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. It comprises 20 teaching hours as well as additional organisational, social and intercultural activities. The event is organised and coordinated by Dr Małgorzata Wójtowicz-Szefler from the Faculty of Psychology at Kazimierz Wielki University.

Day 1 – Monday, 21 September 2026

Official Opening and Study Visit

• 13.30–14.00 – Walk to the University Nursery and Preschool.
• 14.00–15.30 – University Nursery and Preschool

The study visit will include a presentation of the nursery and preschool, the sensory integration room and the Snoezelen room. Particular attention will be given to supporting the development of young children, especially children born prematurely.

The visit will be led by Dr hab. Monika Nawrot-Borowska, Associate Professor at UKW, and Kinga Dziewiątkowska-Kozłowska, MA, a Snoezelen room specialist. It will conclude with a question-and-answer session and a summary discussion.

Day 2 – Tuesday, 22 September 2026

Designing and Printing 3D Therapeutic Toys

• 8.30–10.00 – Review of the project assumptions and presentation of activity scenarios for young children involving 3D-printed therapeutic toys; facilitated by Dr Małgorzata Wójtowicz-Szefler.
• 10.00–10.30 – Coffee break.
• 10.30–12.30 – Presentation of the design, adaptation and printing of 3D therapeutic toys, including the adjustment of toy parameters to children’s abilities and the possibilities for creating other therapeutic aids; facilitated by Dr Jakub Kopowski.
• 12.30–13.00 – Transfer to the UKW Main Campus.
• 13.00–13.30 – Lunch at the UKW canteen.

Day 3 – Wednesday, 23 September 2026

Introduction to the Workshops and Participant Integration

Workshop location: Psychological Support Centre, Faculty of Psychology, room 301, ul. Leopolda Staffa 1, 85-867 Bydgoszcz

• 8.30–10.00 – Presentation of the Faculty of Psychology and the Psychological Support Centre at UKW.
• 10.00–10.30 – Coffee break.
• 10.30–12.15 – Introduction to the workshops on designing and using 3D therapeutic toys in work with children.
• 12.15–13.00 – Walk to the boat departure point.
• 13.00–15.00 – Boat trip on the Brda River, including lunch and an opportunity for social and intercultural integration.

Meeting point for the boat trip: [to be confirmed] The boat trip is an additional integration activity and is not included in the total number of teaching hours.

Day 4 – Thursday, 24 September 2026

Group Project Work and Preparation of Outcomes

• 8.30–10.00 – Workshop Part 1: international group work focused on children functioning at developmental ages of 9, 12, 18 and 24 months.
• 10.00–10.30 – Coffee break.
• 10.30–12.30 – Workshop Part 2: selection and adaptation of 3D therapeutic toys, formulation of developmental goals, family-centred strategies and practical guidance for parents.
• 12.30–13.30 – Mini-conference: presentation of group outcomes, workshop summary, final reflections and farewell session with the BIP Coordinator, Dr Małgorzata Wójtowicz-Szefler.
• 13.30–14.00 – Lunch at the Faculty of Psychology, room 302.

Day 5 – Friday, 25 September 2026

Programme Summary, Participant Reflections and Closing Session

8.30–10.00

Location: Psychological Support Centre, Faculty of Psychology, room 301, ul. Leopolda Staffa 1, 85-867 Bydgoszcz

The closing session will be facilitated by Anna Jazdon, MA, and will include:

• final programme evaluation;
• participant reflections on the knowledge, practical skills and intercultural experience gained during the BIP;
• recording of short participant statements about their experience of the programme for a promotional video;
• awarding of certificates;
• official closing of the on-site programme.
